Please find information below on attending the Australian Public Health Conference 2018.

Event Registration

Upon arrival, please ensure you collect your conference satchel and name badge at the registration desk. Delegates must wear their lanyard at all times during the conference. It is also your ticket into the Welcome Reception on Wednesday 26 September 2018 for all full delegates. 

The Conference registration desk will be located in the Ballroom Foyer of the Pullman International Cairns and will be open from the following times:  

 

Wednesday 26 September: 7:00am - 7:00pm

Thursday 27 September: 7:30am - 5:00pm

Friday 28 September: 8:45am - 3:15pm

Welcome Reception
Date:

Location: Ballroom Foyer, Pullman International Cairns

Cost:

  • Included in FULL registrations, lanyards must be worn for entry

  • Tickets must be shown for entry for other registration types

  • A ticket can be purchased for $60

Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Alcoholic beverages will be available at your own expense.


Conference Dinner
Date: Thursday 27 September 2018
Pick up: 6:15pm from Pullman International Cairns
Drop off: 11:00pm to Pullman International Cairns
The buses will depart at 6:30pm sharp. Please arrive on time. You will need to make your own way to the venue if you are not on time.
Dinner Location: Rainforestation Nature Park, Kuranda

Cost: Coach transfers included in ticket.

  • Included in FULL registrations, lanyards must be worn for entry

  • Tickets must be shown for entry for other registration types

  • A ticket can be purchased for $125

Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Alcoholic beverages will be available at your own expense.


PHAA Annual General Meeting Breakfast
Date: Friday 28 September​ 2018
Time: 7:30am - 9:00am
Location: Tully Rooms, Pullman International Cairns

Cost:

  • Tickets must be shown for the breakfast

  • A ticket can be purchased for $35

Who can attend:

  • PHAA Financial Members - will be able to attend and vote. Financial Members will be required to sign in for voting purposes.

  • Non-PHAA Member - can attend as an observer

Field Trips - Yarrabah Community

Field Trip 1

Date: Tuesday 25 September 2018
Pick up: 1:00pm from Pullman International Cairns
Drop off: 5:00pm to Pullman International Cairns

The bus will depart at 1:00pm. Please arrive early. If you are not on time you will forfeit you ticket.
Location: Yarrabah Community Cairns
Cost: $10 (to cover travel costs only). A pre-purchased tick is required.


Field Trip 2 - FULLY BOOKED
Date: Friday 28 September 2018
Pick up: 8:00am from Pullman International Cairns
Drop off: 12:00pm to Pullman International Cairns

The bus will depart at 8:00am. Please arrive early. If you are not on time you will forfeit you ticket.
Location: Yarrabah Community Cairns
Cost: $10 (to cover travel costs only). A pre-purchased tick is required.

Breaks
Morning/Afternoon Tea and Lunch will be served in the Exhibition area, Ballroom Fpyer, on Wednesday 26 to Friday 28 September 2018.

 

Dietary Requirements: The venue has been notified of any dietary requirements delegates have provided PHAA during the online registration process. If you have a dietary requirement and have not yet notified PHAA, please email nrutter@phaa.net.au as soon as possible to ensure provisions can be made.

Please note full payment is required before the Conference starts on Wednesday 26 September 2018. If you have an outstanding payment at the Conference you will be required to complete the payment before attending the Conference unless otherwise agreed with PHAA prior to the Conference.

Speakers Preparation Room

If you are presenting an oral presentation and need to upload your PowerPoint slides, please proceed to the Speakers Preparation desk located in the Mossman Ballroom (main plenary room), Ground Floor, Pullman International Cairns.​

Dress Code

The dress code for the conference is smart casual. Please note that the venue can become cold at times so please bring along a wrap or jumper just in case.

Evaluation Questionnaires

A Conference evaluation will be emails at the end of the Conference, we ask all delegates to complete the evaluation form. Feedback can also be given at the registration desk at the Conference by completing the feedback form and adding it to the feedback box.
 

Name Badge and Lanyards

Name badges can be collected from the registration desk during the times indicated above; delegates must wear their lanyard at all times during the conference.
